Ulster Bank: no one will be "out of pocket"

More than 3,000 people have filed complaints with the Consumers Association about Ulster Bank amid a chaotic situation for many.

Ulster Bank customers have been left in a chaotic state by the payments processing failure at the bank, the Consumers Association of Ireland has said.

No customer, including customers of other banks, will be out of pocket as a result of this issue, Ulster Bank has said via Twitter this afternoon.

But that will be cold comfort to customers facing huge disruption to their financial affairs because of continuing technical problems at the bank.

Ulster Bank customers have been left in a chaotic state by the payments processing failure at the bank, the Consumers Association of Ireland has said.
