Tyrone Herald wins newspaper award

The Omagh-based Tyrone Herald has been named Northern Weekly Newspaper of the Year by the Newspaper Society.

The Omagh-based Tyrone Herald has been named Northern Weekly Newspaper of the Year by the Newspaper Society.

Its sister paper, the Ulster Herald, had won the award for the two previous years.

The judges commended the Tyrone Herald's news content and lifestyle section. The colour tabloid is published on Mondays, with pagination varying between 44 and 48 pages.
