Two-thirds of SMEs plan to invest over next 12 months, survey finds

More than two-thirds of firms plan to invest in their business over the next 12 months, with plans to increase marketing activity topping the list of priorities.

Despite signs of a broad-based recovery, the overall number of firms in growth mode this quarter fell to 29%

More than two-thirds of firms plan to invest in their business over the next 12 months, with plans to increase marketing activity topping the list of priorities, figures from the most recent InterTrade Ireland Business Monitor have shown.

Fifty per cent of businesses surveyed said they planned to invest in marketing activity, while 32 per cent said the would invest more in staff training.
