For collectors of Irish art more inclined to invest in artists with long-established international reputations, a Christie’s evening sale in London this week offers two works by Sir John Lavery, a seascape painted in 1919, Bay of Tunis, Morning, 81.2x61 centimetres (€130,000-€180,000), and Anna Pavlova as The Swan (study), painted in 1911, 76.2x63.5 centimetres, signed and dedicated to Mona and formerly in the collection of Royal Ballet principal dancer Alexander Grant (€86,000-€120,000)....
