TV3 wants commercial cap at RTE
TV3 chief executive David McRedmond believes all media could benefit from a reduction in the national broadcaster's commercial activity, writes Samantha McCaughren.
TV3 chief executive David McRedmond should be doing a victory lap at the moment, as discussions about the possibility of reducing RTE's commercial activities go on among policy makers. However, he is relatively low-key about the prospect, saying that it has not yet happened and it is unclear exactly what the outcome of the current five-year review of RTE will bring.
