TV3 targets rights to broadcast Six Nations games
TV3 is lining up a significant bid to secure the rights to broadcast Ireland’s Six Nations rugby games from 2009.

The rights, which are held by RTE, are up for renewal in two years’ time, and seniorTV3 executives are keen to buy them. The station has already made contact with the IRFU and Six Nations, the Dublin company that runs the tournament, to express an interest in bidding for the event.
