TV3 sounds warning over Saorview's fees

TV3 has warned that excessive fees for running on Saorview, the free-to-air digital platform, would greatly limit the number of services it could run.

TV3 has warned that excessive fees for running on Saorview, the free-to-air digital platform, would greatly limit the number of services it could run. All free-to-air TV will be received via Saorview from October 24 as the old signal is switched off.

In a submission to the Department of Communications, the commercial station stated that it was willing to pay "properly set tariffs", although it has proposed that the interim fee should be set at zero....
