The 70s

The often controversial historian Dominic Sandbrook's (right) series continues with the onset of football hooliganism and its effect on British society, as well as changing attitudes to sex discrimination brought about by vigorous campaigning and unassailable argument from committed feminists. It's the years 1975 to 1977 with the glorious summer of 1976, which was the US bicentennial year, in between.
