Though he's taken Hollywood by storm, Moone Boy star Chris O'Dowd is happy to stay close to home for now, writes John Maguire.

Chris O'Dowd fairly fizzes with enthusiasm. His head bounces when he talks, as if attached by elastic. His hands cut and chop for emphasis. Inordinately relaxed, O'Dowd breaks his flow only to sip thoughtfully from a pint of Guinness at his elbow.
