Tullow Oil is to plug and abandon an exploration well that was targeting the Gotama prospect, offshore Norway.

The 31/2-21S well did not encounter reservoir quality sandstones in its Upper Jurassic main target. The well encountered reservoir quality sandstones in the secondary targets but these intervals are water wet, the company said.
