Tullow Oil reports oil find in Kenya

Tullow Oil has reported that its Agete-1 exploration well onshore Northern Kenya has discovered and sampled moveable oil, marking its fifth consecutive oil discovery in the region.

Tullow Oil has reported that its Agete-1 exploration well onshore Northern Kenya has discovered and sampled moveable oil, marking its fifth consecutive oil discovery in the region.

Tullow operates the Agete-1 well with a 50 per cent interest while Africa Oil holds the remainder.

The oil exploration firm said there was an estimated 100 metres of net oil pay in good quality sandstone reservoirs.
