Tullow Oil abandons well off Norwegian coast

Tullow Oil has announced that it failed to find hydrocarbons at its PL507 project in the North Sea off the coast of Norway.

Tullow Oil has announced that it failed to find hydrocarbons at its PL507 project in the North Sea off the coast of Norway.

The well will now be plugged and abandoned, the company said in a statement.

The well is located 35km south-east of the Oseberg Sør Field and 110km west of the island of Sotra in the North Sea.
