Troika confirms "brief pause" of Greece review

UPDATE: Reports of a US-motivated troika delay in Greek review have been rubbished by a Commission spokesman, but a "pause" is nevertheless to take place.

A Reuters report suggesting a delay in the troika's review of Greece's debt situation until after the US election is "absolute nonsense", according to an EU spokesman.

However, the troika has admitted that it will take a "brief pause" in its Greece discussions, without stating when the discussions will resume.
