Trinity Biotech produced something of a curate’s egg last week when it announced a 27 per cent increase in earnings per share in its quarter-three results.

Trinity Biotech produced something of a curate’s egg last week when it announced a 27 per cent increase in earnings per share in its quarter-three results.

The diagnostics company has earnings per share of $0.14 in the quarter, up over a quarter on the same period in 2005, and up by 18 per cent on the second quarter of 2006.

The result was 4 per cent ahead of the estimate set by Goodbody Stockbrokers but below the $0.15...
