There can't be many artisan producers around the country with a back-story like Rod Calder-Potts who, along with his wife Julie, produces Highbank Orchard Syrup on the family farm in Cuffesgrange, Co Kilkenny.

His great-grandfather, Robert Murison, came to Kilkenny from the Orkney Islands to manage the Farmley Estate for Colonel Beresford Flood around 1880, and built the current farmhouse as a home for his family, eventually acquiring the house and farm from his absentee landlord.
