Irish holidaymakers who plan to cancel trips to Mexico within the next month are being advised to check the terms and conditions of their travel insurance.

The Irish Travel Agents Association (ITAA) is advising consumers that they might be entitled to a refund, as the Irish government has cautioned against non-essential travel to Mexico as a result of the swine flu outbreak.
