Michelle Connolly, a partner at KPMG Corporate Finance, said more transparency was needed in the spending of taxpayers’ money.

‘‘One of the most debated topics today is the need for more accountability in public private partnerships,” Connolly said. ‘‘People need to know how their money is being spent in infrastructure.
