The move to double the number of state funded training places on offer to 128,000, announced in last week’s budget, has been welcomed by the Irish Institute of Training & Development (IITD).

The move to double the number of state funded training places on offer to 128,000, announced in last week’s budget, has been welcomed by the Irish Institute of Training & Development (IITD).

IITD director Sinead Heneghan said the move would increase the availability of formal education programmes for the unemployed, enabling their progression within the National Framework of Qualifications.
