Tourism report recommends inspectorate

An analysis commissioned by Fáilte Ireland of state-imposed costs on the tourist industry has recommended an overall inspectorate of regulations.

An analysis commissioned by Fáilte Ireland of state-imposed costs on the tourist industry has recommended an overall inspectorate of regulations, instead of separate labour, health and safety, fire, and building and tourism inspectors.

The analysis - by Tourism & Transport Consult International (TTC), with Jim Power Economics - of a businesses in the industry found that local authority costs were becoming a bigger burden.
