Tourism Ireland targets stars for promotion drive

Having recruited former X-Factor contestants John and Edward Grimes to attract British tourists to Ireland, Tourism Ireland now hopes to enlist the support of other stars.

Having recruited former X-Factor contestants John and Edward Grimes to attract British tourists to Ireland, Tourism Ireland now hopes to enlist the support of other stars. The agency believes that sports stars such as rugby captain Brian O’Driscoll or golfer Padraig Harrington could playa significant role in boosting the number of overseas visitors to the country.
