There's been an increase of nearly 27 per cent in the number of airline seats between the US and Ireland this summer.

Tourism Ireland is planning a major focus on attracting more US visitors here over the next three years.

Under a three-year plan, “Make Ireland Jump Out”, the tourism body aims to increase the number of American visitors by 20 per cent by 2015 and win a greater share for Ireland of all travel by Americans to Europe.
