Tourism Ireland hopes for record visitor numbers by 2015

Tourism Ireland has a target of attracting over 9 million visitors to Ireland by 2015, which would exceed the record set in 2007, it said today.

Tourism Ireland has a target of attracting over 9 million visitors to Ireland by 2015, which would exceed the record set in 2007, it said today.

The latest estimates indicate that by the end of 2011 7.4 million people will have visited the island of Ireland, a 7 per cent increase on 2010. The Republic of Ireland market is likely to show a 9 per cent increase, it said.
