Tough year, but core strengths remain

As we approach Christmas, it is natural to reflect on the year just gone. It was a year which started in crisis at a European level and there was much concern about the impact on Ireland of the ongoing euro upheavals. Slowly, as the year continued, the EU backdrop calmed.
