Tough battle in Sunday market

Readership figures remained largely static across the Irish newspaper market in 2005, according to the Joint National Readership Survey (JNRS) figures released last week.

Readership figures remained largely static across the Irish newspaper market in 2005, according to the Joint National Readership Survey (JNRS) figures released last week.

However, one of the big winners was The Sunday Business Post, which recorded the largest increase in readership in the Sunday newspaper market.

It increased its number of readers from 173,000 to 201,000, a rise of 28,000 or 16.2 per cent.
