The Fairyhouse Easter meeting kick-starts the spring and summer racing festivals today, with the Tote and bookies vying for the leisure euro, writes Sean Goff.
Up to 35,000 people are expected at Fairyhouse during the next three days as the Meath racetrack hosts its traditional Easter Festival.
Tote Ireland and the on-course bookmakers will control the betting today, as off-course betting shops are not allowed to open on Easter Sunday.
