The quoted food group Total Produce has completed a multi-million-euro buyout of Groomes Fresh Produce, a major fruit and vegetable supplier that went into receivership late last week.

The receiver, accountant Michael McAteer, has now sold Groomes to Fresh Produce for an undisclosed sum.
