Fuel giant Topaz might turn some of its service stations into food-only outlets.

On RTE Radio One this morning, Topaz chief executive Emmet O’Neill said the company was considering the possibility of turning some of its smaller forecourts into food-only businesses due to the high cost of fuel at the moment.

Yesterday it was announced that the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission approved the sale of Esso to rival petrol station chain Topaz.
