Top of the food chain

It's been a long time since Irish banks bestrode the Iseq and the world. Today, with the financial institutions still largely on life support machines, it is Irish food companies that dominate Ireland's stock exchange.

In fact, by market capitalisation, food and beverage companies, such as Kerry, Glanbia, Aryzta, Fyffes, Total Produce, Origin, Donegal Creameries and C&C Group, account for almost 50 per cent of the Iseq.
