Top Ford post

Pauline Walsh, from Newbridge, Co Kildare, has been appointed director, manufacturing quality, at Ford of Europe. She leaves her job as manufacturing manager at Ford's giant engine plant at Dagenham, Essex to take up her new post in Cologne.

The 37-year-old graduate in mechanical engineering from UCD began with Ford as production manager at its factory in Genk, Belgium.
