* Shares rose across Europe after the passage of a key German vote on amendments to the European debt rescue fund.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel appeared secured a very clear majority backing for the changes that will almost double Germany's contribution to the fund.

* Ryanair boss Michael O'Leary said the budget airline expected to carry 75 million passengers by the end of this year, up from 72 million in 2010.
