A legal row between toll operators and the National Roads Authority (NRA) centres on the fact that no current contracts include a specific clause for deflation or a reduction in toll rates.

The NRA is launching a legal action against three toll operators - Direct Route, Celtic Roads Group (CRG) and Eurolink -which it claims have failed to reduce their charges in line with commercial agreements.
