The downturn has cast the social partnership talks in a very different light, and there will be plenty of tough decisions to be made.

The Dáil is in recess, but the task of coming up with a social partnership deal resumes at Government Buildings this week. The task has been made more difficult by the government’s public sector cutbacks.
