Tifco snaps up Kilmainham Hilton

The Irish hotel operator backed by Goldman Sachs has moved to acquire the four-star hotel.

Tifco, the Irish hotel operator backed by Goldman Sachs, has moved to acquire the four-star Hilton Hotel on Kilmainham Square in Dublin.

Tifco, through an affiliate company called Halstonville, has notified the state’s competition watchdog about the deal, and is awaiting clearance.

The 120-bedroom hotel was previously owned by the Lalco Hotel Group, which is run by Galway developer John Lally.
