Some 160 jobs look set to be saved at the ICR Motor Group, with a new investor due to take the insolvent car rental company out of examinership this week.

The owners of the Irish franchise for Thrifty Car Rental, the global car rental giant, have agreed a deal that will involve them investing an initial €1.25 million to pay the company’s creditors.
