When I reviewed the 2006 vintage of this bottle back in 2009, the price was exactly €14.99 (unleaded petrol was 94.6c per litre, but today it is €1.61). I am well aware that we run our civilisation on petrol and not spicy blends of luscious Languedoc syrah, grenache, mourvedre and carignan; nevertheless, I commend the attempt by class-leading wine businesses to maintain prices.
