There are worries for the almost 6,000 people employed by Dell and EMC in Ireland as the two companies are reported to be in merger talks.

Dell, the world’s third-largest maker of personal computers, employs 2,300 people in Ireland at facilities in Dublin, Cork and Limerick, principally in research and development and customer support.
