Pub chain Thomas Read Group plans to utilise the €60 million refinancing deal announced last week with Ulster Bank to expand its activities in the hotel sector in Ireland and overseas.

Pub chain Thomas Read Group plans to utilise the €60 million refinancing deal announced last week with Ulster Bank to expand its activities in the hotel sector in Ireland and overseas.

The company, which owns 15 pubs, clubs and restaurants in Dublin, recently bought the 62-bedroomTulfarris Hotel in Wicklow. It is currently redeveloping the facility to include 50 additional bedrooms and golfing, spa and conferencing facilities, with a planned opening date of November.
