The theft from Christ Church Cathedral of the preserved heart of Dublin's patron saint has been making headlines in the US.

CBS News and the New York Times have both covered the story about the surprise removal last weekend of the relic of St. Laurence O'Toole, which had been displayed in the cathedral since the 13th century.

The heart was stored in a heart-shaped wooden box and secured in a small iron cage.
