The legend of the Wandering Jew – a figure from medieval Christian folklore who, after taunting Jesus on the way to the Crucifixion, was cursed to walk the earth until the Second Coming – forms the crux of this neat play.

The curse also prevents the Wandering Jew from dying; from sitting or lying down to rest and from ever authenticating or communicating his identity.
