Asia's richest man, dubbed ''one of the world's great empire builders by Forbes, is mulling an investment opportunity in Ireland.

Cheung Kong Holdings, the company controlled by billionaire Li Ka-Shing, is considering acquiring a portfolio of aircraft from Dublin-based aviation leasing firm, Awas Aviation Capital, which is owned by private equity firm Terra Firma.
