The power of presence

A step above ‘mere' AV teleconferencing is so-called ‘telepresence'. The idea is to allow a person to feel as if they are present at a location other than where they are. It sounds a bit like science fiction, but it works using AV hardware permanently set up in a dedicated teleconference room.
