Very often, a company will focus on one thing when it comes to procurement - price. Too many companies see the procurement function solely as a means to deliver cheaper ingredients, products, goods or services.

Company directors, however, need to understand the importance of procurement in delivering, not only value for money in the supply chain, but also in protecting the integrity of the supply chain and, ultimately, the company brand.
