Things seem to be slowly getting better, but will it last, asks Richard Curran.
There is no best year of a recession. But compared to the shock and financial trauma of 2009 and 2010, 2012 was a year of progress on many fronts as consumers, employees and businesses knuckled down to the tough job of getting through this awful mess. Even the government can point to positives in the bond market, even though the banks remain a major problem. The troika is happy so far, but we're not finished yet.
