The formal takeover offer for IFG, announced last week, will in all likelihood see the financial services group become the next company to exit the Irish stock market. It seems the steady flow of exists of companies from the Irish Stock Exchange will continue for some time to come. Natural attrition, which normally sees companies leave, get taken over or merge, replaced by a similar number who decide to float.
