The final reel plays out inMurphy film rental saga

The film rental group Chartbusters closed its doors for the last time last week.

All 16 stores are closing with the loss of almost 90 full-time and part-time jobs. It is always difficult when a business finally has to go.

A statement on the company’s website, issued more in hope than expectation, asked people to return rented films to the drop boxes in local stores.
