FitzPatrick cannot shoulder full Anglo blame

Former Anglo Irish chairman Sean FitzPatrick is not exactly Ireland’s favourite banker. He has become synonymous with letting down the banking sector, and he has been name checked by finance minister Brian Lenihan as someone whose secret loans were a factor in dragging down Anglo. More to the point, he has been named as someone whose actions undermined the credibility of Anglo to such an extent that it ended up being nationalised.
