The importance of giving credit where it's due
Companies need to be able to access credit from banks to ensure they have enough cash to keep their business ticking over, writes Linda Daly.
The government report on the demand for credit by SMEs, which was published last week, highlighted the fact that banks are lending. However, more needs to be done to encourage businesses to apply for credit, according to John Webb, AIB's new head of business banking.
