With the recent announcement that the Daily Telegraph and the Sun would be erecting some kind of paywall, it seems the beleaguered newspaper industry is fighting back against the disruptive digital power of the internet.

Paywalls, or some form of digital pay plan, are still fairly new on this side of the Atlantic. But in America, they're old news. And crucially, we're beginning to get some information on whether they work or not.
