The art of surviving recession . . . industry veterans open city gallery

Despite tough economic conditions for the art sector, a couple of industry veterans have opened a new gallery on South Anne Street in Dublin.

Formed by Oliver Sears and Catherine O'Riordan, SO Fine Art Editions will stock a diverse range of art from prints to ceramics and photography. The gallery is the second new venture launched by Sears over the past few years after his successful opening of his eponymous gallery in 2010.

According to Sears, the art industry has been forced to adapt to the adverse effects brought on by the recession.
