Tetra Ireland, a consortium of companies involving Eircom and Motorola, has all but secured a contract with the Department of Finance to set up and manage a new national digital radio network.
Tetra Ireland, a consortium of companies involving Eircom and Motorola, has all but secured a contract with the Department of Finance to set up and manage a new national digital radio network. The network is to be used by all non-commercial public bodies in Ireland.
If a six-month evaluation of the consortium's network is accepted by the Department of Finance, Tetra Ireland believes that contract is likely to be for a period of 8 to 10 years.
